A body of work shaped by nature, pattern, and the quiet pull of ideas that won’t leave you alone.
Most of my ideas begin outside, on the trail, in the patterns of bark, leaves, shadows, and the overlooked pieces most people walk past.
After years of working across different creative paths, I felt the need to give this part of my work its own space. A place dedicated to surface design, to collections, to patterns that are meant to be used, repeated, and built into something beyond the original sketch.
What started as rough motifs and scattered ideas has grown into Wild Ridge Studio, a collection of seamless patterns and designs rooted in nature, story, and a slightly darker edge.
This is where the work takes shape.
I’m glad you’re here.
I’m based close to the Blue Ridge Mountains, where most of my ideas don’t start at a desk, they start on the trail. Surrounded by trees, shifting light, and the constant change of seasons, I began noticing patterns everywhere. In bark, in leaves, in the way the ground repeats itself without ever being identical.
That’s what pulled me into surface pattern design.
Not as decoration, but as a way to capture what I see and translate it into something usable. Something that can live on fabric, products, and spaces beyond the original moment it came from.
Wild Ridge Studio grew out of that process, paying attention, sketching, repeating, refining, and building collections that carry a sense of place, texture, and quiet story.
This isn’t about perfect symmetry.
It’s about creating patterns that feel alive.
