Slow Fire I: Burn to Breathe is an original hand-burned pyrography artwork exploring repetition, rhythm, and presence through fire.
Created as the first piece in my Slow Fire series, this mandala-inspired burn began as a study in pattern and became something more meditative in the making. Layered petals, spiraling forms, and glowing negative space invite the eye to move slowly through the piece, much like breath itself.
Burned by hand on wood using layered linework, shading, and deep contrast, this piece reflects my ongoing interest in pyrography not only as art, but as a contemplative practice.
