Every collection has a beginning.

Mountain Laurel & Monarch is one of the earliest Wild Ridge Studio collections and now lives on as Trail Side Archive Edition No. 001.

Inspired by the mountain laurel blooming along Blue Ridge trails and the quiet arrival of monarch butterflies each summer, this collection celebrates one of those fleeting moments that reminds us to slow down and notice what's growing, blooming, and fluttering just beyond the path.

Like every Wild Ridge Studio collection, the artwork began with time spent outdoors, careful observation, and original illustration inspired by the landscapes, plants, and wildlife of Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains.

About the Trail Side Archive

The Trail Side Archive is home to retired, early, and limited Wild Ridge Studio collections.

These editions represent milestones along the creative journey that eventually became Trail Side Post. Once an Archive Edition sells out, it will not be reproduced.

Each one is a small piece of the trail, thoughtfully preserved.
